**** JAISHREE THAKUR, J. (ORAL) The instant writ petition has been filed with a limited challenge to the result of the petitioner that has been declared for recruitment of Female Intelligence Assistant (Constable) in the Intelligence cadre of Punjab Police.

It is contended that persons having obtained 64 marks in the written examination in Backward Class category have been declared successful whereas as per the petitioner's own calculation on the basis of 'Answer Key' issued, she has obtained 67 marks. It is contended that persons having lower marks than the petitioner, are being considered for appointment. A representation has already been moved in this regard by the petitioner on 02.01.2017 raising her grievance therein. In the said representation, it has specifically been mentioned that after tallying of the OMR sheet and the 'Answer Key' she has calculated that she has obtained 67 marks in the examination but her name has not been found in the selected Satyawan 2017.01.13 12:07 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document High Court Chandigarh

CWP-374-2017 -2candidates' list whereas persons who have obtained less marks than 67, have been shown successful.

This Court is of the opinion that at this stage it is not within the purview of the Court to ascertain as to whether she obtained 67 marks as alleged or not. This is an exercise, to be done by the department. Since a representation is already pending with the department, it would be expedient to direct the respondents herein to consider the representation of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Avinit Avasthi, learned A.A.G., Punjab who is present in the Court is directed to accept notice on behalf of the respondents. Let three sets of the paper book be served upon him during the course of the day.

Since the matter pertains to an appointment on the post of Female Intelligence Assistant (Constable) in the intelligence cadre of Punjab Police, the representation should be disposed of expeditiously. Let the representation of the petitioner be decided within a period of one week of receipt of certified copy of this order.
