**** SANDEEP MOUDGIL, J.(ORAL) The jurisdiction of this Court has been invoked under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for directing the official respondents no.2 and 3 to protect the lives and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of respondent no.4.

Learned State counsel assures the Court that the representation dated 09.06.2026 (Annexures P-5) submitted by the petitioners will be decided within three days in the light of notification No.HOMEHM-40 40SECM/14/2025-2H4/63 dated 23.01.2025 issued by the Department of Home Affairs, Punjab, Government of Punjab (Home-4 Branch). In the light of above, the instant petition stands disposed of. However, the petitioners would be at liberty to avail alternate remedy by way of appeal as per the above-said SOP.
