(Oral) The grievance made in the present petition is that the elections to the post of Vice President in Municipal Council, Kurali, District S.A.S. Nagar is not being held when the tenure for the post itself is one year. We have issued notice on 17.11.2018 for final disposal. Heard learned counsel for the rival parties.

Today Ms. Anu Pal, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, on instructions from SDM, Kurali makes categorical statement that elections to the post of Vice President in Municipal Council, Kurali, District S.A.S. Nagar, will be held within ten days from today. We accept the statement made by learned State counsel and dispose of the present petition accordingly.
