The present writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of directions to respondent No.2 to decide the representation dated 09.06.2026 (Annexure P-2) submitted by the petitioner for protecting her life and liberty at the hands of the private respondents. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, inter alia, contends that the petitioner is the sole legal heir of her deceased father, namely Jasbir Singh, and the inheritance qua the ancestral land situated in Village Wadala Bhittewad, Tehsil and District Amritsar stands duly sanctioned and reflected in the revenue record in her favour. The petitioner had instituted partition proceedings qua the said property before the competent Revenue Court and, after due adjudication, the learned Assistant Collector Grade-I/Naib Tehsildar, Amritsar-II vide order dated

18.06.2025 allotted Khasra Nos.55/1/1, 56/2/1/2, 56/3/2/1, 56/3/2/2, 56/4/1, 56/4/2, 56/5/1 and 56/5/2 in favour of the petitioner as discernible from Annexure P-1. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the petitioner is residing at her matrimonial home which is situated away from her ancestral village and respondent No.4, by taking advantage of her absence, is allegedly attempting to forcibly grab the property and is carrying out illegal construction over a portion measuring about 15 to 20 marlas. He further contends that whenever the petitioner attempted to cultivate or otherwise enjoy the property falling to her share, respondent No.4 allegedly obstructed her and extended threats to her life and liberty.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that apprehending danger to her life and liberty, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 09.06.2026 (Annexure P-2) to the competent police authorities seeking protection and appropriate action against the private respondent, however, despite the submission of the said representation, no action has been taken thereon till date. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioners further submits that the petitioner would be satisfied, in case a direction is issued to respondent No.2 to consider and decide the representation dated 09.06.2026 (Annexure P-2) submitted by the petitioner in a time bound manner. 4.

Notice of motion to the official respondents only. 5.

On asking of the Court, Mr. Bhanu Partap Singh, Addl. A.G., Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of official respondents-State. Learned counsel for the petitioner is directed to supply copy of

complete paperbook to learned State counsel during the course of the day.

Keeping in view the prayer made by the petitioner and without commenting anything on the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to consider and decide the representation dated 09.06.2026 (Annexure P-2) submitted by the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, in accordance with law. Further, the decision taken thereof shall be conveyed to the petitioner. Needless to say, if the petitioner is found entitled to the relief sought, the same shall be granted forthwith by respondent No. 2. 7.

Pending miscellaneous application, if any, also stands disposed of.
