Mz.Sudeepti Sharma,DAG Punjab Jaswant Singh,J(Oral) Petitioner is working as a Headmaster with the Education Department (Secondary Education)Punjab. In sum and substance two prayers were made in the present petition i.e. (i) for release of enhanced subsistence allowance for the suspension period and (ii) for issuing a direction to the respondents to promote him from the date his juniors have been promoted as Principals.

Upon notice a reply has been filed wherein it is stated that the admissible enhanced subsistence allowance has since been paid however, claim for promotion is not warranted at this stage as there are two pending disciplinary proceedings for major penalties against the petitioner as also two FIRs. It has been stated that a sealed cover procedure has been adopted and on completion of the aforesaid proceedings action shall be taken in accordance with law.

In view of the stand of the learned State counsel counsel for the petitioner prays for permission to withdraw the writ petition. Dismissed as withdrawn.
