Learned State counsel on instructions received by him stated that the accused, who was facing trial before learned trial Court has since been acquitted of the charge as framed against him and while relying upon the judgment of Hon'ble Supreme Court in Sukhpal Singh Khaira Vs. The State of Punjab 2023 (1) SCC 289, he has submitted that the present petition has been rendered infructuous.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has not disputed this fact and has requested that the present petition be disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.

In view of this submission, this petition is dismissed as having been rendered infructuous.
