IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT

CHANDIGARH CWP No. 9766 of 2016 Date of decision: 18.05.2016 Dr. N.M. Chugh ....Petitioner(s)

Versus

State of Punjab and others

...Respondent(s)

CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE G.S.SANDHAWALIA

Present:

Mr. Aman Dhir, Advocate, for the petitioner.

G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) Admittedly, the petitioner had resigned on 24.10.1986 and the claim is for GPF payment. Though the petitioner had approached this Court earlier in the year 2013 and the writ petition was dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to file a fresh one with better particulars but the fact remains that the petitioner has alternative and efficacious remedies available to him. This Court does not feel that it is a fit case to exercise its extra ordinary writ jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. Faced with the situation, counsel does not press the present petition and the same is accordingly dismissed as not pressed with the aforesaid liberty.

18.05.2016 (G.S. SANDHAWALIA) shivani JUDGE SHIVANI GUPTA 2016.05.19 14:54 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh
