The petitioner seeks quashing of selection order/list dated 15.09.2020 to the post of Legal Assistant on contract basis. The petitioner claims to be a practicing Advocate since 24.02.2015. He applied for the post of Legal Assistant to be appointed on contract basis at a fixed monthly salary of 23,320/- pursuant to recruitment notice issued on 30.01.2020. The ₹ petitioner claims that the candidates were invited for interview and scrutiny of documents, however, no interview was held. He further claims that no criteria was notified and the selection has been made by pick and chose method.

From the perusal of the writ petition, it is apparent that the petitioner has neither made any effort to get the information from the official respondents with regard to the criteria adopted for selection nor made efforts to make a representation bringing this fact to the notice of the authorities. The petitioner is not a poor and illiterate person. Civil Writ Petition No. 21192 of 2020 make some efforts to get the information required. The writ petition is based on a bald assertion that no interview was held. Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, this Court is of the considered view that the petitioner being bereft of material particulars and documents, is required to be disposed of by directing the petitioner to make a representation to the authorities in this regard and at least make an attempt to get the necessary information. Thereafter, the petitioner shall be at liberty to file a fresh writ petition.

With the observations made above, the writ petition is disposed of.
