The present criminal writ petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No.4 to 6 to release the petitioner on regular parole for eight weeks as per the entitlement under Section 3(1)(A)(D) of the Punjab Good Conduct Prisoners (Temporary Release) Act, 1962. 2.
At the outset, Ms. Shruti, learned AAG, Punjab, submitted that she has specific instructions to state that parole has already been granted to the petitioner, namely, Dilbag Singh and therefore, the present petition has become infructuous and may be disposed of as such.

In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of as having become infructuous.
