In the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, at Chandigarh Criminal Misc. No. M-37021 of 2019 Date of Decision: 04.09.2019 Vinay Kalra alias Golu ... Petitioner(s)

Versus

State of Punjab ... Respondent(s) CORAM: Hon'ble Mr. Justice Shekher Dhawan.

Present:

Mr. Surmeet S. Sandhu, Advocate for the petitioner(s).

Shekher Dhawan, J.

Present petition under Section 438 read with Section 482 Cr.P.C. for seeking pre-arrest bail to the petitioner, namely Vinay Kalra alias Golu in case FIR No. 162 dated 12.07.2018, registered under Section(s) 22 & 61 of the Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 at Police Station Daresi, District Ludhiana. The petitioner is involved in the case of alleged recovery of 320 grams of heroin.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that petitioner mistook the date to be 16.08.2019, instead of 02.08.2019; that is why he could not appear before the learned trial Court and his arrest warrants have been issued. Learned counsel further contended that petitioner is ready to surrender before the learned trial Court within a period of one week from today.

Notice of motion.
