The present criminal writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 and Section 3(1) (d) of the Haryana Good Conduct Prisoners Act, 2022 seeking extension of parole for a period of 10 days which was already granted to the petitioner. 2.
Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is already on parole, which is due to expire on 16.06.2026 and since he is required to participate in the customary Bhat ceremony and other matrimonial rituals in connection with the marriage of his niece, which RAKESH KUMAR 2026.06.15 18:05 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

Mr. Udit Garg, learned Additional Advocate General, Haryana has submitted on instructions that it has been verified that the marriage ceremony of the niece of the petitioner is scheduled to take place on 19.06.2026 and the petitioner is already on parole till 16.06.2026. He further submitted that the State has no objection in case a short extension of parole is granted to the petitioner.

In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the present petition is disposed of. The parole granted to the petitioner shall remain extended for a further period of seven days w.e.f. 16.06.2026.
