(Oral) The petitioner is seeking directions to the respondents to depute him in the Lower School Course (List B-1) under 35% quota. As per the amendment in the Punjab Police Rules, 35% quota meant for senioritycum-merit. Learned counsel for the petitioner has referred to a judgment of Division Bench of this Court passed in CWP No.7952 of 2004 titled Naresh Kumar Vs. State of Haryana, decided on 05.11.2004 whereby while interpreting the above said rules it has been held that for deputing to the lower school course, minimum requisite merit/fitness is required, the senior has to be placed on list B-1 as a matter of preference. In this regard, the petitioner has given a legal notice dated 13.11.2015 (Annexure P-7) to the official respondent(s) but no decision has been taken thereon.

In view of above, without commenting on the merits of the case, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the official respondents, to look into the legal notice dated 13.11.2015 (Annexure P-7), within a period of three months, from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, in accordance with law.
