The petitioner is seeking quashing of order dated 12.05.2025 (Annexure P-9) passed by learned Additional Sessions Judge, Sangrur in FIR No.87 dated 21.07.2019 under Section 21 of NDPS Act, 1985 registered at Police Station Chhajali, District Sangrur whereby the petitioner has been declared as a proclaimed offender. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that during trial, the petitioner was appearing regularly, however, on 11.09.2022, due to noting down the wrong date of hearing, he could not appear before the trial Court and his bail was cancelled and non bailable warrants were issued against him. Further, non bailable warrants could not be executed and was received back with the report that no such person of said name and parentage resides at the given address and vide order dated 12.05.2025 passed by Judge Special Court, Sangrur, the petitioner was declared as a proclaimed offender. However, he submits that he is willing and ready to join the proceedings and shall appear before the trial Court as and when Sonia Puri 2025.07.09 13:17 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions further submits that the petitioner undertakes to appear before the trial Court on each and every date and shall not seek any exemption for his personal appearance on any date of hearing before the trial Court. Hence, in the aforementioned facts and circumstances, the petitioner prays that directions be issued to the Trial Court that his bail application, which he would be filing on his surrender, be decided. 3.
Keeping in view the facts of the case, the service of respondent is dispensed with as it will delay the proceedings. 4.
I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the material placed on record.

No ground to interfere in the impugned order dated 12.05.2025 is made out and the present petition is hereby, dismissed. 6.
However, in case the petitioner appears and surrenders before the trial Court concerned within a period of 07 days from today and files bail application before the concerned Court, the same shall be considered by the trial Court concerned within next 03 days, thereafter, in accordance with law. 07th July, 2025 (H.S.
