Petitioners have impugned the notice received by them under section 47-A of the Act on the basis of a reference made by the concerned authority. Admittedly, petitioners have not filed any reply to the notice and have directly approached this court. In my considered opinion, the writ petition is misconceived. Petitioners have an efficacious remedy by way of a reply to the notice. After exhausting the remedies, if any, cause of action survives, petitioners shall be entitled to file the writ petition.
