The present contempt petition has been filed for deliberate and intentional disobedience of order dated 12.02.2024 passed by this Court in CWP-24967-2019, whereby direction was issued to the respondent to decide the representation of the petitioner.

In compliance of the order dated 12.02.2024 passed by this Court in CWP-24967-2019, learned counsel for the respondent submits that representation of the petitioner has already been decided by passing a speaking order dated 16.08.2024 by the Executive Officer, Municipal Council, Sri Anandpur Sahib. He has produced a copy of the said speaking order in Court, which is taken on record.

In view of the above, since order dated 12.02.2024 passed by this Court in CWP-24967-2019, has been complied with, therefore, the present contempt is purged and rule stands discharged. 4.

Needless to say that the petitioner is at liberty to avail remedy as is available to him in accordance with law to challenge the speaking order dated 16.08.2024 passed by the Executive Officer, Municipal Council, Sri Anandpur Sahib.
