RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Instant writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No.1 to 5 to take appropriate legal action against respondents No.6 to 13 for misappropriating Panchayat funds on the basis of complaint, dated 06.10.2022, Annexure P-1. It is further prayed to issue direction to respondent No.2 to initiate proceedings for removal of respondent No.6 from the post of Sarpanch in view of Section 20 of the Punjab Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 on the basis of letter dated 04.08.2023, Annexure P-8.
It has been contended by counsel for the petitioner that complaint, Annexure P-1, was filed on 06.10.2022, but no decision has been taken on the same till date.

CWP-17533-2023 -2After hearing counsel for the parties and going through the facts and circumstances of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3, i.e. Divisional Deputy Director, Rural Developlment and Panchayat Officer, Ferozepur, to decide the complaint, dated 06.10.2022, Annexure P-1 expeditiously in accordance with law preferably within one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
