Through this petition, the petitioners seek quashing of FIR No.139 dated 09.09.2018 registered under Sections 306 and 34 IPC, at Police Station Urban Estate, Patiala, along with all the subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise dated 31.08.2020 (Annexure P-2).
On 01.12.2021, when the notice of motion was issued, learned counsel for the petitioners had placed reliance on the judgment of the Hon'ble Apex Court in Arnab Manoranjan Goswami vs The State of Maharashtra and others, 2021 (1) SCC (Criminal) 834 and a Coordinate Bench of this Court in Ishita Gupta and another vs State of Punjab and another, 2020 (1) RCR (Criminal) 636.
