  Present writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for quashing the impugned order dated 07.11.2020 (P510), whereby petitioner was transferred from Punjab Alkalies & Chemicals Limited, Naya Nangal, Rupnagar, Punjab to Gandhi Dham, Kacch, Gujarat.

At the outset, instead of pressing the petition on merits, learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submits that he would be satisfied in case his claim pending before respondent No.25 Labour Commissioner is decided on some early date. Notice of motion to respondents No.1 to 3 only. Mr. T.P.S. Chawla, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3 and he is not averse for the innocuous prayer made on behalf of the petitioner.  In view of the agreed stand taken by both sides, but without going into the merits of the case, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose off the present petition with a direction to respondent No.25 Labour Commissioner, Department of Labour, Punjab Municipal Council Complex, Sector 68, SAS Nagar, Mohali, to consider and decide the claim of the petitioner by passing speaking order in accordance with law expeditiously, preferably within a period of 3 weeks' from today.
