This is third petition for grant of regular bail to the petitioner pending trial in a criminal case arising from FIR No.69 dated 30.04.2018, registered under Section 22 of the Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, at Police Station City-1, Abohar, District Fazilka. The previous two petitions have been dismissed as withdrawn. As per the case of the prosecution, the petitioner was apprehended with 1600 intoxicating tablets.

Ms. Samina Dhir, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, on instructions from Sub Inspector Baljit Singh, has informed the Court that 11 prosecution witnesses have already been examined out of 12 proposed to be examined and the next date is 21.12.2020.

Keeping in view the fact that the trial of the case is at an advance stage, it would not be appropriate for the Court to consider the DEEPAK KUMAR BHARDWAJ 2020.12.17 13:43 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document request for grant of bail. Hence, the present petition is disposed of. However,

Criminal Misc. No. M-41458 of 2020 the learned trial Court is requested to conclude the trial, positively within a period of four months.
