The petitioner seeks issuance of certain directions to respondent No.1 to register FIR against respondents No.2 to 5 and to take appropriate legal action.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's wife had been murdered on the night of 3.11.2021 regarding which he lodged FIR No.0155, dated 4.11.2021, Police Station Sector 11 West, under Section 302 of Indian Penal Code (Annexure P-1). It has been submitted that the police, despite investigating the matter properly and to bring the accused to book, has turned the tables on petitioner/complainant himself and is forcing him to admit his guilt to the effect that he himself had killed his wife. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has even offered to get the narcotic test, polygraph test etc. conducted but the respondents instead of getting the same done, are still pressurizing the petitioner to make a confession.

I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. 5.

Having regard to the fact that some allegations have been levelled against respondents No.2 to 5 including police officials and without expressing anything as regards the veracity of averments made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1-Director General of Police, Chandigarh to get the representation dated 30.8.2022 (Annexure P3) examined in accordance with law and in case it is found that any action is warranted, the same be taken forthwith.

A copy of this order alongwith copy of representation dated 30.8.2022 (Annexure P-3) be sent to respondent No.1-Director General of Police, Chandigarh for necessary compliance.
