Present petition has been filed seeking issuance of direction in the nature of habeas corpus for production and release of the detenues detailed in Para Nos.4 & 5 of the petition, who have been illegally detained by the officials of CIA, Mohali-respondent No.4. 2.

Vide order dated 13.06.2026, Warrant Officer was appointed in the present case, whose report has been placed on the record. 3.

On the perusal of the report, it has been found that the alleged detenues were found in their own flat i.e. #4218, Tower G-4, SBP City of Dreams, Sector-116, Mohali and no police official was found present there. It has further been mentioned therein that FIR No.54 dated 10.06.2026 under Sections 309(3), 319(2), 61(2)(a) of BNS and Sections 25/27 of Arms Act, was registered at Police Station IT City Mohali, against Sahil Verma, Manpreet Singh and 05 other unknown persons and POOJA SHARMA 2026.06.16 17:00 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRWP-7140-2026 -2Beant Singh, son of the petitioner and husband of Palak (alleged detenue), has been nominated in the said FIR and the police is conducting raids to arrest him in this case.

In view of the report made, it has been found that the detenues were not found in any illegal custody and thus, the present petition stands disposed of, as such. However, petitioner would be at liberty to avail alternative remedy in case any further cause of action accrues.
