**** Rajan Gupta, J. (Oral) Petitioner seeks a writ in the nature of mandamus to direct the respondents to renew Passport No. F 2132048 in order to enable her to travel back to India. It has been urged before the court that needful is not being done in view of pendency of FIR No.14 dated 14.01.2009 registered at Police Station Sector 34, Chandigarh, in which name of the petitioner figures.

At the outset, learned counsel appearing for UOI submits that the case of the petitioner for grant of emergency certificate to enable her to travel back from Australia to India shall be considered within one month from today. On her return, if she completes all the necessary formalities, her plea for renewal of Passport shall also be considered as per rules. In view of the above no further direction is necessary. Petition is hereby disposed of. Petitioner shall, however, be at liberty to file afresh, in case, any cause of action subsists.
