**** HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI , J. (ORAL) Counsel for the petitioner contends that the persons junior to the petitioner were getting a higher salary than the petitioner and therefore being senior, he was entitled to step up of his pay. It has been contended by the counsel for the petitioner that one Sh. Hazari Lal Khetawala, who was junior to him, was granted a higher pay after the retirement, vide order dated 15.05.2018, which has been appended by the petitioner as Annexure P-7. Therefore, once in the year 2018, his junior has been given a higher pay, the petitioner automatically become entitled for the same.
Counsel for the petitioner states that for the relief prayed in the present writ petition, the petitioner has served a legal notice through counsel on 06.09.2018 (Annexure P-9) and the petitioner will be satisfied, NARESH KUMAR 2018.11.28 16:37 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

Keeping in view the request made by the counsel for the petitioner; without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case and the claim being made in the said legal notice, the respondents are directed to decide the legal notice dated 06.09.2018 (Annexure P-9) by passing a speaking order within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
