Through the instant writ petition, prayer is made for quashing the impugned 75th Minutes of Meeting Item No.75.9 dated 19.07.2024, whereby, a three members' Committee has been constituted by the Executive Council under chairmanship of the respondent No.5. 2.

The challenge (supra) is thrown primarily on the ground that, the petitioner has levelled specific allegations of sexual harassment at workplace against the respondent No.5, hence the constitution of the Committee (supra) under the latter's chairmanship suffers from illegality. 3.

At the outset itself, the learned counsel for the respondents No.1 to 5 submits that, the grievance of the petitioner has been redressed inasmuch as the decision taken by the Executive Council in its Meeting DEVINDER YADAV 2025.04.25 09:13 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

CWP-19258-2024 (supra), vide Resolution No.75.9, has already been withdrawn. Moreover, the complaint regarding sexual harassment at workplace has also been forwarded to the Internal Complaint Committee of the University and the same is under consideration.

The learned counsel for the respondents No.1 to 5 further submits that, the case of the petitioner regarding her promotion to the post of Professor under CAS has also been processed by the University. The meetings of the Scrutiny Committee for consideration of her promotion case were held on 27.03.2025 and 08.04.2025, and, the minutes of the Committee are under consideration of the University authorities for further convening the meeting of Selection Committee. Moreover, the petitioner has also been assigned the charge of Chairperson vide notification dated 31.12.2024. 5.

In view of the supervening events, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, although most of the petitioner's grievances have been redressed, however, he requests that a direction be passed upon the University to promptly take a final decision with regard to petitioner's promotion.

The request made by the petitioner's counsel appears to be bona fide and innocuous and the same is not even opposed by the learned counsel for the respondent No.1 to 5. Therefore, the instant writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the University to, within two months from today, take a final decision with regard to petitioner's promotion to the post of Professor.
