Only grievance of the petitioner is that his application for renewal of arms licence has been pending with the concerned authority for a considerable period. No decision has been taken thereon. On the asking of the court, Mr. Saurabh Mohunta, DAG, Haryana, who is present in court, accepts notice on behalf of the State. He submits that, in case, application of the petitioner is still pending before respondent No.2, decision thereon shall be taken at the earliest, in any case, not later than one month. A copy of the petition be handed over to learned State counsel today itself for onward transmission to the concerned authority.
