The petition has been filed, inter alia, seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondent/Commission to withdraw five marks given to the petitioner under the 'Socio-Economic Criteria' while preparing the final selection result dated 13.7.2022, Annexure P-14, for the post of Supervisor in the Irrigation and Water Resources Department, Haryana, pursuant to advertisement no.14/2019 dated 26.8.2019, Annexure P-1, and issue letter of appointment to him with all consequential benefits.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that during pendency of the petition, the petitioner has been offered appointment on the post of Supervisor vide letter dated 19.10.2023. However, the consequential benefits w.e.f. 2.12.2022, the date from which other selected candidates pursuant to the advertisement were offered appointment, have not been given. Learned State counsel submits that in case any such representation claiming the consequential benefits w.e.f. 2.12.2022 is made by the petitioner, the same shall be considered and decided in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receiving the representation.

In view of the statement made by learned State counsel, learned counsel for the petitioner has no objection to the petition being disposed of in terms thereof.
