(Oral) Today, at the very outset, learned State counsel, upon instructions from Deputy Superintendent, Jail, Ambala, has informed that the petitioner is presently availing furlough since 11.1.2023 and is supposed to surrender back on 2.2.2023.

Faced with the aforestated position, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the present petition at this stage with liberty to apply to the authorities concerned afresh for grant of parole.
