Petitioners seek a stage carriage permit for operating light motor vehicle having capacity of 30 passengers from Dera Baba Jaimal Singh to Railway Station, Beas via Budhan, Theh rural link route. He submits that he submitted a legal notice dated 18.10.2018, Annexure P-5, in this regard to State Transport Commissioner, Punjab. However, no decision has been taken thereon.

On the asking of the court, Mr. Sahil Sharma, DAG, Punjab, who is present in court, accepts notice on behalf of the State. He submits that, in case, it is found that legal notice has been received by the concerned authority, it shall take a decision thereon by passing a speaking order within six weeks from today.
