*** HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI, J. (ORAL) Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though the present petition has been filed seeking regular bail but keeping in view the fact that the FIR is dated 11.07.2020 and more than three years have elapsed since the date of arrest of the petitioner, petitioner will be satisfied, in case, the respondents are directed to conclude the trial in a time bound manner so that the petitioner does not face further indefinite incarceration.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that out of total 23 cited prosecution witnesses, seven have already been examined and the trial can be concluded within a period of six months.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking note of the fact that the petitioner has been behind bars for the last about three years, present petition is disposed of, directing the learned trial Court to conclude the trial within a period of six months from the next date of hearing. If need be, appropriate steps be taken in order to secure the presence of the witnesses concerned.
