Case is taken up through Video Conferencing on account of COVID-2019.

The present Criminal Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a direction to respondents No. 2 and 3 to protect the lives and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of the private respondents No.4 to 7. The case of the petitioners is that they are major and have solemnized marriage against the wishes of their parents. They apprehend danger to their lives at the hands of private respondents. Learned counsel for the State has filed reply wherein it has been stated that statements of the petitioners have been recorded by the police to the effect that as of now, they do not apprehend danger to their lives and liberty at the hands of private respondents. The statements of private respondents No. 4 to 7 have also been recorded to the effect that they will not cause any harm and threat to the petitioners.

In view thereof, the present petition is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
