Case is taken up through Video Conferencing on account of COVID-2019.

The present Criminal Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a direction to respondents No. 2 and 3 to protect the lives and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of the private respondent No.4, who is father of petitioner No.1-Mahima Chaudhary.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that in view of the subsequent development as respondent No.4(father of petitioner No.1) has assured that he no longer opposes the marriage of the petitioners and will not cause any harm or threat to them, the present petition has been rendered infructuous and the same may be disposed of as such. Accordingly, the present petition is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
