This is a petition under Sections 11 and 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 for initiation of proceedings against the respondents for non-compliance of the order dated 19.11.2024 passed in CWP-31032-2024. 2.

Learned counsel for the State has pointed out that the writ petition (CWP-31032-2024) was disposed off in terms of the order dated 19.09.2024 passed in CWP-5750-2021 titled as "Gurwinder Singh & Ors. Vs. State of Punjab & Ors., which was challenged in LPA-1886-2025 wherein notice has been issued and the appeal was directed to be heard with LPA271-2025. In LPA-271-2025 and other connected cases, which pertained to the same issue, operation of the impugned order therein has been stayed. 3.

In view thereof, the present contempt petition is disposed off at this stage without commenting in the merits of the case. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed off.
