AMIT RAWAL J. (Oral) Mr. Rahul Sharma-I, learned counsel for the appellant submits that the contract dated 10.11.2014 envisages its validity for a period of 02 years extendable at the discretion of the respondent which has expired on 15.11.2016. The application for extension of contract is stated to have been filed on 11.11.2016. However, the impugned order entailing into disposal of the petition filed under Section 9 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 would not survive owing to the aforementioned fact. The factum of validity of the contract period is not disputed by Mr. Vikrant Sharma, Advocate.
In view of the aforementioned fact, no cause of action survives in the present appeal. However, this order will not prevent the respondent in Savita 2016.11.21 10:22 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document High Court Chandigarh
