JASWANT SINGH, J. (ORAL) The father of the petitioner died-in-harness while working as a JBT Teacher on 31.8.2008. The petitioner was offered compassionate appointment in the office of District Education Officer, Hoshiarpur, and the petitioner joined on 3.2.2010. The petitioner is stated to be 20 years of age, at that time.

Now, the petitioner in view of his improved qualification upto M.A. Level is seeking a mandamus for his appointment on compassionate basis to any Class III post.
