(proceedings conducted through video conferencing) ***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) The petitioner seeks grant of anticipatory bail in respect of a case registered vide FIR No.93 dated 5.7.2020 at Police Station City Samana, District Patiala under Sections 22, 25 and 29 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 mainly on the ground that she has been nominated as an accused on the basis of a disclosure statement made by one Tarsem Singh, who was apprehended at the spot while in possession of 49500 tablets of 'Tramadol'. It has been submitted that the petitioner is presently a Panch of the village and that Tarsem Singh is inimical to her because he was supporting the opponent of the petitioner. Mr. Avtar Singh Sandhu, Addl. ( 2 ) CRM-M-41666-2020 (O&M) ASI Darshan Singh has informed that the petitioner stands convicted in two other identical cases registered for offences under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

In view of the aforestated position, this Court does not find any ground for grant to anticipatory bail.

However, in case the petitioner surrenders before the Trial Court within a period of ten days from today and applies for grant of regular bail, the learned Trial Court shall endeavour to dispose of the same expeditiously while considering the pleas as have been raised before this Court or any other plea as may be raised.

The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
