ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Petition herein is under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, inter alia, seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to carry out demarcation of 638 Kanal of land falling under Village Naroli Tehsil Narot Jaimal Singh, District Pathankot. 2.

In an earlier round of litigation instituted by the petitioner, this Court had given directions to the competent authority to pass an order within a period of 6 weeks. Vide an order dated 20.08.2020 passed pursuant thereto, the competent authority remanded the matter to the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Pathankot to take steps for demarcation of the property, in accordance with law. Copy of said order dated 20.08.2020 has been e-mailed today and is taken on record.

Despite a lapse of 04 months, no further action has been taken by the Sub Divisional Magistrate, the petitioner has therefore been compelled to approach this Court once again seeking appropriate directions/orders. 4.

The writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Pathankot that he shall take up the matter on priority SONU 2020.12.15 16:11 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

and pass appropriate orders in terms of the observations made by the competent authority vide order dated 20.08.2020, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of 9 months from today.
