*** HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI, J. (ORAL) In the present petition, the claim of the petitioner is that he is entitled for promotion to the post of Motor Vehicle Officer (Enforcement) as he is eligible for the said post since 27.05.2022. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits the claim of the petitioner is not being considered by the respondent despite the fact that the petitioner is a physically handicapped employee, hence, the respondents are under an obligation to consider the claim of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Motor Vehicle Officer (Enforcement) under the physically handicapped quota and grant the said promotion to the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the grievance raised in the present petition has already been made in the representation dated 19.09.2022, copy of which has been appended as Annexure P-6 and the petitioner would be satisfied in case, time bound direction is given to the respondents to decide the same by passing appropriate speaking order. Notice of motion.

CWP No.18013 of 2023 -2Mr. Pankaj Middha, Addl. A.G. Haryana, accepts notice on behalf of respondents-State. He submits that in case any representation has been submitted in the office of the respondent and the same is pending consideration, it will be decided in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks by passing an appropriate speaking order.

Keeping in view the statement made by learned State counsel, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the present petition may be disposed of as having been not pressed any longer. Ordered accordingly.
