(ORAL) The petitioner has been offered appointment as a Senior Shift Attendant vide appointment letter dated 10.8.2018 (Annexure P1), for which the minimum prescribed qualification is 10+2. The petitioner is stated to be on the verge of completing his 4 Years' B.Tech Degree Course in May 2019. In terms of the appointment letter dated 10.8.2018 (Annexure P1), the petitioner is to join by 30.11.2018, failing which the offer of appointment shall stand cancelled.

CWP-30209-2018 (O&M) Upon notice, Mrs.Anu Chatrath Kapoor, Addl. A.G. Punjab, states that the last extension was till 30.11.2018. However, in terms of directions passed by this Court on 29.11.2018, the offer of appointment has not been cancelled.

Keeping in view the totality of the circumstances, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction that the period of extension of offer of appointment shall be deemed to have been extended till 31.1.2019. The petitioner would be permitted to join on or before 31.1.2019, failing which his offer of appointment shall be deemed to have been lapsed. A copy of the order be given to the State counsel under the signatures of Bench Secretary.
