**** JAISHREE THAKUR, J. (ORAL) Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the case of the petitioner is squarely covered by the judgment rendered by this Court in CWP No.14238 of 1991 titled as 'Sukhdev Singh and others vs. State of Punjab and others', decided on 10.03.2010 (Annexure P-1). The petitioner also served a legal notice dated 10.06.2016 (Annexure P-2) upon the respondents but no action has been taken so far. Learned counsel also submits that the petitioner would be satisfied in case, directions are issued to consider and decide the case of the petitioner in view of Sukhdev Singh's case (supra).
Keeping in view the limited prayer of the petitioner and without going into the merits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 to consider the legal notice dated 10.06.2016 (Annexure P-2) and pass necessary orders in accordance with law within three months on receipt of certified copy of this order.
