This is a petition under Sections 10 and 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 for initiation of proceedings against the respondent for noncompliance of the order dated 27.02.2025 passed in CWP-5431-2025. 2.

Compliance report by way of an affidavit dated 25.07.2025 of Deepti Uppal, Special Secretary-cum-Director, Department of Local Government, Punjab has already been filed in the Registry, which is taken on record. Along with the compliance report, speaking order dated 18.07.2025 (Annexure R-3) has also been appended.

In view of the above, learned counsel for the petitioner states that he does not wish to press the present contempt petition. He however seeks liberty to challenge the speaking order dated 18.07.2025 (Annexure R-3) in accordance with law.

Dismissed as not pressed with liberty aforesaid. Rule stands discharged. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed off.
