Apprehending threat to their life and liberty at the hands of private respondents, petitioners have filed the present petition praying therein to issue appropriate directions to the official respondents to provide adequate protection to them.

Learned counsel for respondent No.1-U.T Chandigarh states that statements of both the petitioners have been recorded wherein they have mentioned that now they have no threat to their life and liberty from the private respondents. Copies of the said statements have been placed on record.

When questioned, the aforesaid fact has been endorsed by learned counsel for the petitioners.

In view thereof, the present petition is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
