(Oral) Prayer in this criminal writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondent No.2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner from the hands of private respondents and to take action against the private respondents.

Learned counsel for the petitioner wishes to withdraw the present petition with liberty to invoke the alternative remedy in accordance with law.
