Present writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, inter alia, for issuing directions to nominate the names of eligible District Revenue Officers, i.e. Tehsildars & Naib Tehsildars, for promotion to the post of Punjab Civil Service (Executive Branch) (Class-I) from Register A-1 maintained by the Chief Secretary, Punjab under Rule 7 of the Punjab Civil Service (Executive Branch) (Class-I) Rules, 1976, for the years 2014 onwards, in view of judgment dated 01.10.2021 (P-2) passed in CWP No. 20282 of 2016 alongwith other connected cases. At the outset, learned counsel, on instructions from petitioners, submits that matter is under active consideration before the competent authority; therefore, he does not press the present petition any further at this stage.

Disposed off accordingly.
