(ORAL) The instant writ petition has been filed seeking a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing of the impugned order dated 27.02.2017 (Annexure P-4) whereby certain employees have been promoted to the post of Lecturer Chemistry from the post of Science Masters/Mistresses. It is contended that in the seniority list which is Annexure P-6 on the record pertaining to Science stream, the petitioners herein are all senior than the persons so promoted. In this regard the petitioners have already represented to the department concerned, however, the same has not been considered.

At the present moment, a limited prayer is made by learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners that their representation (Annexure P-5) be decided as expeditiously as possible, preferably, before any posting orders are issued to the persons so promoted. I have heard learned counsel for the petitioners. In view of the limited prayer made and without going into the merits of the case, I deem it appropriate to direct the official respondents to Satyawan 2017.03.

CWP No. 5015 of 2017 -2consider the claim of the petitioners and in case there is any merit therein to accord the necessary relief to them within a period of six weeks on receipt of certified copy of this order. Ordered accordingly. Writ petition stands disposed of.
