Present petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for seeking pre-arrest bail to the petitioner, namely Gurpreet Singh alias Gopi in case FIR No. 31 dated 01.03.2019, registered under Section(s) 22 of the Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 at Police Station Kotwali, District Kapurthala.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that earlier, petitioner was admitted to interim bail vide order dated 22.04.2019 (Annexure P2) till the receipt of report from the Forensic Science Laboratory; now the said report has been received and petitioner wants to surrender before the learned trial Court.

Criminal Misc. No. M-35528 of 2019 In view of above, present petition stands disposed of with the directions that in case petitioner surrenders before the learned trial Court within a period of one week and moves an application for admitting him to regular bail, the learned trial Judge shall decide the same within a period of one week thereafter.
