Advocate General, Haryana. *** VIKRAM AGGARWAL, J (ORAL) Prayer in the present petition filed under Section under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is for the issuance of an appropriate writ, order or direction in the nature of habeas corpus directing the respondents No.1 to 3 to trace, recover and produce detenue (daughter of respondent No.4) before this Court.

Status report by way of affidavit of Sh. Malkeet Singh, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Rai, District Sonipat filed in Court today is taken on record. As per the same, the statement of the alleged detenue was recorded as per which, she stated that she is happily residing with her father and her husband after having solemnized marriage. The statement has been placed on record as Annexure R-1. The combined statement of the father, mother and maternal uncle of the alleged detenue has also been recorded, which has been placed on record as Annexure R-2 wherein, it has been stated that their daughter is residing with the family and her husband voluntarily and has not been illegally confined or detained by anyone. Learned State counsel also submits that he has specific instructions from SI Nasim Jakhal, P.S. Kundli, who is present in Court, to state that there is no threat to the life and liberty of the alleged detenue. 4.
