Seeking quashing of the order dated 23.05.2024 passed by Divisional Commissioner, Karnal and further to release the petitioner/convict on parole for 10 weeks in the FIR captioned above, the petitioner has come up before this court by filing the present petition under Article 226/227 of Constitution of India. 2.

Counsel for the State on instructions submits that petitioner's parole was rejected only because of imposition of Model Code of Conduct during the Assembly elections in the State of Haryana and in case, petitioner wants parole, he has to apply for the same again afresh by mentioning period and grounds on which he wants parole. 3.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that concerned authority be directed to decide petitioner application which he is filing shortly in a time bound manner without being influenced by the previous rejection.

Given above, petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh application for parole in ANJU RANI 2024.12.05 19:46 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Punjab and Haryana High Court Chandigarh

CRWP-7681-2024 accordance with law by mentioning all his grounds and period of parole. In case, petitioner files such application for parole, the concerned officer shall decide the same before 15.12.2024, by passing a speaking and reasoned order and shall communicate him as well as to one of his family members. Liberty reserved to petitioner to challenge the order, if adverse order is passed.
