NIDHI GUPTA, J. (ORAL) Prayer in this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for issuance of necessary directions to respondent No.2 and 3 to take appropriate legal action against respondent No.4 who, it is alleged, by misusing his official position and by threatening the petitioner, is trying to establish physical relations with the petitioner and on refusal, is threatening to throw acid upon the face of the petitioner and abusing and harassing the petitioner by making obscene acts and gestures; and despite representations/complaints made by the petitioner, no action has been taken against respondent No.4. Further prayer is for issuance of direction to respondent No.2 to take appropriate legal action on the complaints/representations (Annexures P-1 and P-2) filed by the petitioner against respondent No.

4 and for protection of life and liberty of the petitioner in lieu of grave and serious threats extended by respondent No.4. After arguing for sometime, when this Court is not inclined to grant the prayer of the petitioner in view of the assertions made in the Status DIVYANSHI 2024.11.

CRM-M-40200-2023 (O&M) -2 - Report dated 23.09.2023 filed by way of an affidavit of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Kapurthala on behalf of respondents No. 1 to 3, to the effect that the matter has been duly inquired into and no truth has been found in the allegations made by the petitioner, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be permitted to withdraw present petition with liberty to take recourse to the appropriate remedy available to him, as per law.

Permitted to do so.
