CRM-M-46641-2021:

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for Union Territory, Chandigarh submits that the petitioner was absconding since 1999 and even PO proceedings were initiated against him. He was arrested only on 16.2.2021 and in case he is released on bail, there is every likelihood that he may not join trial. He further submits that one accused Muni Lal @ Chhedi Lal was put to trial and was convicted in the present case and the criminal appeal filed against his conviction was dismissed on 13.8.2013.
