**** Manjari Nehru Kaul, J. (Oral) The petitioner is seeking concession of ad-interim bail for a period of 30 days to join departmental enquiry (Annexure P-3) in case FIR No.10 dated 07.01.2024 under Sections 15-C/61/85 of NDPS Act registered at Police Station Civil Lines, Sirsa. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that during the pendency of instant petition, the petitioner has received a communication dated 17.08.2024 asking him to appear before the Enquiry Officer. In support of his submissions, learned counsel has placed on record the copy of letter dated 31.07.2024 issued by Dy. Inspector General, Group Centre, CRPF, Sonepat. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the petitioner would be satisfied, if he is granted ad-interim bail to prepare and submit his reply before the Enquiry Officer concerned.

Reply, by way of an affidavit of Dy. Superintendent of Police (HQ) Sirsa filed on behalf of respondent-State in Court today, is taken on record. Learned State counsel has not raised any objection qua the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner 4.

Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the relevant material available on record.

In the facts and circumstances, the petitioner is granted ad interim bail from 27.08.2024 to 01.09.2024 for drafting his reply, which is to be submitted before the Enquiry Officer in the Departmental Inquiry, which is pending against him. The petitioner be admitted to interim bail on his furnishing bail/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the Trial Court/Duty Magistrate concerned.
